Jason Kidd on the Heat: 3 superstars in one team is too much

It really doesn’t matter if you love them or hate them, the truth is that the Miami Heat is going to be one of the most interesting teams to watch at the upcoming season, and Jason Kidd, a veteran in the league, has come up some comments that puts him more on the haters side, as he said that this team will actually hurt the NBA.

Apparently, he thinks that two superstars in a single team is more than enough, mostly because other franchises are not that attractive in order to sell tickets, which means that teams like Toronto and Cleveland will seriously suffer on the monetary side, but he also mentioned that when it comes to the basketball side of it, he said that he will love to watch the new big three putting up outstanding games.

But he’s thinking might not be all that accurate, as fans of the Raptors and the Cavaliers will still continue to support their teams, even when their major stars are gone. A fan is a fan period, and when it comes to those of teams like Cleveland and Toronto, well, they are certainly amongst the most supportive ones.

And when it comes to linking his words with his actions, let’s just say that he might not know what he is really saying, as he thinks that 3 superstars in one team can really hurt the league, well, he gladly teamed up with Keith Van Horn and Kerry Kittles in 2 consecutive NBA finals, and now he is playing with the Mavericks, a team that has Jason Terry and Dirk Nowitzki in their roster, so, he should analyze the real context of his blabbering.

And when it comes to the attractiveness of a team such as the Heat, well, it is certainly quite interesting to have a team that you can either support or to root against, and on this area, Miami is the new Lakers.

The regular season schedule for the 2010-2011 NBA season has not been revealed yet, but the Heat and the Mavs will play each other at one point, so, is it maybe that Kidd is fearing to face LeBron, Bosh and Wade? Well, I think any team in the league hates the idea of facing the renewed Miami, and when the time comes, Kidd and company will have to play their best hoops to prevent an almost certain defeat against the Heat.
