Sure, Amare Stoudemire left the Suns, but that doesn’t mean that the team will sink in deep waters just because of that, and since they know they need to enhance their roster, they are bringing Josh Childress and Hedo Turkoglu to Phoenix. Sure, they are not LeBron James and Chris Bosh, but they can certainly play outstanding basketball, and will be ready for what is coming in the Suns’ schedule at the 2010-2011 season.
Phoenix had an outstanding past season, making it to the Western Conference finals, and this year, they seem ready to play their best hoops in order to be considered one of the top teams in the league.

The Suns reportedly will be sending forward Dwayne Jones and guard Leandro Barbosa to the Raptors in exchange for Turkoglu, a player that was hoping to move to another franchise after a disappointing season in Toronto, and since the Raptors also need to enhance their roster, they will take advantage of the free cap space left by the sign-and-trade deal from Chris Bosh in order to bring Boris Diaw from the Bobcats.
And about Childress, he will be arriving to Phoenix in a sign-and-trade deal with Atlanta, the team that still holds the rights over the player, who spent the past 2 seasons playing in Greece. The 27 year old guard will receive $34 million dollars for playing five years with the Suns, and the deal includes a 2nd-round pick from the 2012 draft from Phoenix to the Hawks.
Turkoglu is not Stoudemire, but if he can adapt well, he will fit perfectly in his position, and since the Turkish is outstanding at handling the ball, he will take a big weight out of the back of Steve Nash concerning the offensive plans of the Suns in the upcoming season.
An interesting fact is that Childress is a former client and Turkoglu is a current client of Lon Bobby, a renowned agent for NBA players who is expected to replace Steve Ker as the head of basketball operations for the Suns, which means that he played a big role in the arrival of both players to Phoenix.
It would be really interesting how this team is going to perform at the upcoming season, and even though they are not considered amongst the favorites to come up with the title, they might come a surprise.
