The Magic players used to joke around when they were practicing, but after their defeat at game one of the eastern conference finals, such jokes were no longer part of their routine, as they know that they actually need to win their second game at home, or things can really start to go seriously wrong for them.
Game 2 is tonight at Amway Arena, and the Celtics are ready to face Dwight Howard and the rest of Orlando in a match that promises to be filled with action and surprises.
As stated by forward Matt Barnes, the home loss at game 1 probably meant a wakeup call for an Orlando team that is trying to get back on track before meeting the Celtics, whom were able to hold Dwight Howard to only 13 points thanks to big guys such as Glen Davis, Kendrick Perkins, Rasheed Wallace and Kevin Garnett, all whom took turns to guard the Magic superstar.

And even though the Celtics are playing it tough on Howard, they are doing it in a clean way, which has prevented them to fall into foul trouble and it catapulted Boston to a valuable victory that is getting them closer to the NBA finals.
Now, the Magic is a team that has not lost two consecutive home games so far this season, and they are hoping that such streak is going to continue in their series against Boston in order to have a chance of repeating at the finals for the second consecutive year after falling to the current champs, the Lakers last season.
As of now, the Celtics have won 4 straight matches, their longest strike since they won eleven in a row just before Christmas time. Coach Doc Rivers pointed out that the team did not handle continuous wins effectively throughout the whole season, but he also said that they are aware of their veteran status, and are used to all sorts of outcomes. But he emphasized how well prepared they are in order to face Orlando, and are expecting to continue to gain momentum.
The Celtics were swept by the Magic at the second round of the postseason last year, and they are certainly looking forward to get their revenge against a team that has been quite dominant this season and that is looking to obtain their next NBA championship.
