Ndamukong Suh is the defensive tackle that was chosen as the second overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft by the Detroit Lions. He is just 23 years old and at such a young age, he has received a good number of awards, including the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, the Lombardi Award, the Outland Trophy, the AP College Football Player of the Year, and finished 4th in the voting for the Heisman Trophy.
As a freshman playing for Nebraska back in 2005, he played the first 2 games, to then miss the rest of the season as he underwent surgery on his knee; he then received a medical redshirt.
In the year 2006, he played in fourteen games as a defensive backup, which had as a result a ton of honors for him. And, even though he was a player that was coming from the bench, he ended up the year with a total of nineteen tackles and was ranked as one of the main men in the team in terms of quarterback sacks (three and a half) and tackles for loss (eight).

When playing as a junior back in 2008 he was able of acquiring a team-high impressive 76 tackles, nineteen for loss, two interceptions (both of which were returned for touchdown completions) and a single touchdown reception while he was playing as a fullback. He became the 1st defensive lineman for Nebraska to lead his team in terms of tackles since 1973. The same year, Ndamukong Suh was able to earn the honors of all-big 12 first-team, being the first one to make it since Steve Warren back in 99’.
Suh was considered as one of the top prospects in the NFL 2010 draft, with critics calling him “the most dominant defensive man in more than 3 decades” and were projecting him to become the number one overall. He is a player that can perfectly fit either as a defensive tackle in a defensive formation of 4-3 or as a defensive end in a formation of 3-4. At the end, the Rams took Sam Bradford as their top choice, allowing the Detroit Lions to make it with the services of Suh, whom can clealy use him at the upcoming NFL season after a terrible 2-14 in the past one, which might be one of the reasons why they were not that interested in draft players that were not defense men.
