As expected, the Celtics are now in round 2 of the playoffs after defeating Miami in the best-of-seven series by 4-1 with the last defeat for the Heat on Tuesday with a score of 96-86. Now, here is where things get really interesting, and if you are a true fan of basketball, this is probably going to be a series that can be considered a final before the real one.
Boston is going to meet LeBron James and the Cavs on the semi finals with the first game coming on Saturday with Cleveland playing the first two matches at home, which is probably one of the factors that can truly give them a slight advantage in the series.
The Big Three are not playing that well lately, but when you consider that Shaquille O’Neal is also lacking some ability lately, then this matches can be a bit balanced for both squads.
Ray Allen was the man with the most points for the Celtics during game 5, as he finished with 24, while Paul Pierce contributed with 21 and Rajon Rondo managed to score 16, while Kevin Garnett is still underperforming with just 8 points.

For the Heat, Dwayne Wade was still outstanding, but it is hard to be an excelling player in a team that is filled with low spirits, and that is precisely Wade’s situation, which is probably why he is glad to be a free agent as he might as well become into one of the most sought-after players in the upcoming offseason market.
It was recently that Boston had to deal with Lebron and the Cavs, as both teams met at the semifinals for the Eastern Conference back in 2008, when the Big Three were playing at their best and managed to give the Celtics their 17th title in the history of the franchise, and the first one in twenty two years.
But this Boston team is certainly not the same one, and now the tables have turned in terms of who the best one is between the Celts and the Cavs, with the latest having the most chances of advancing.
Now, if Cleveland manages to overpass the Celtics and then go onto win it all, it is clear that Lebron James might want to stay with the reigning champs, but if the Cavs fail to do so, James might find himself in the same position as Wade, and will probably look for a new north at the free agent market.
